Privacy Policy

Overview

Break80 ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered golf training, practice, and analytics application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Break80 you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers from Apple or Google when you sign in with those providers.
• Golf data you provide: handicap, rounds, hole-by-hole scores, shot data, practice sessions, workouts, weight logs, and onboarding preferences.
• Health data (iOS only): with your explicit permission, we read steps, heart rate, workouts, and similar metrics from Apple HealthKit to inform training recommendations. HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third parties for advertising, or used for any purpose other than providing the Break80 service.
• Subscription data: purchase status and entitlement information received from Apple and RevenueCat. We do not see or store your payment card.
• Device & diagnostic data: push notification tokens, app version, and crash logs used to deliver notifications and improve reliability.

How we use your information

• Provide AI coaching, practice plans, and round analytics.
• Personalize recommendations based on your performance and recovery.
• Deliver notifications you've enabled in Settings.
• Manage your subscription and entitlements.
• Investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

AI processing

Break80 sends anonymized prompts containing your golf statistics and goals to third-party large language model providers to generate coaching responses, practice plans, and workouts. We do not send your email, name, or HealthKit data in these prompts.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate Break80: cloud hosting, database, authentication, AI inference, subscription management (RevenueCat, Apple), and crash reporting. These providers act on our behalf under contractual obligations.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time inside the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account. You may also email us at support@break80.app with privacy requests.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, rounds, plans, AI history, and preferences are deleted from our active systems. Backups expire within 30 days.

Children

Break80 is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect.
